How Attic Fanatics collects SMS consent
We collect consent to send text messages in three ways. Consent is never required to book, buy, or receive service.
1. On our website
Every form that requests an inspection or estimate includes a consent checkbox, unchecked by default, reading:
“Text me about my attic inspection and estimate from Attic Fanatics. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
The form submits normally if the box is left unchecked.
2. By phone
When a homeowner calls to request an inspection, our office staff ask:
“Would you like me to send appointment and estimate updates to this number by text? Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP any time to stop them.”
The answer is recorded in the customer’s record with the date, time, and the employee who collected it. If the caller declines, no texts are sent.
3. In person at the inspection
Our inspector asks the same question, in the same words, at the time of the visit, and records the answer in the customer’s record with date, time, and employee name.
What consent covers
Consent applies only to messages from Attic Fanatics about that homeowner’s own inspection, estimate, appointment, or job. Mobile information and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or lead generators. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
