Why cellulose?

Higher R-value per inch

R-3.5 to R-3.7 vs fiberglass R-2.2 to R-2.7. More insulation in less space.

Dense-pack capability

Can be blown into enclosed walls, knee walls, and cathedral ceilings where batts cannot reach.

Budget-friendly

Lower cost per square foot than fiberglass batts. For large attics, the savings add up.

Cellulose vs. fiberglass

Both have a place. Here is how they compare.

We install both. The attic decides which one. If cellulose is the right call, we will tell you. If batts make more sense, we will tell you that too.

Common questions

Is cellulose insulation safe?
Treated with borate. Fire-resistant, pest-resistant. Used in homes for 50+ years.
Does cellulose settle?
Yes, 10-15%. We blow to a higher initial depth to account for it.
Can you blow cellulose over existing insulation?
Yes, if the existing is clean and dry. If contaminated, it comes out first.
Is cellulose better than fiberglass?
Neither is universally better. We recommend based on your attic.
