Attic Insulation Removal NJ
Insulation Removal in NJ
Contaminated, damaged, or just old. We vacuum it out, seal the attic, and install fresh insulation. One crew, one visit.

of original R-value, gone.
After 15 to 20 years, insulation compresses, settles, and degrades. Add animal contamination, and what is left is doing less than half the job it was installed to do.
Why your insulation needs to come out
Not every attic needs a full removal. But when it does, topping up over the problem only makes it worse.
Animal contamination
Mice, raccoons, squirrels, bats. They nest in it, urinate on it, and leave droppings throughout. Once contaminated, insulation can not be cleaned. It has to come out.
Water damage
Roof leaks, ice dams, condensation. Wet insulation loses its R-value and breeds mold. Drying it out does not restore its performance.
Age and degradation
Fiberglass batts sag and compress over 15-20 years. Blown-in cellulose settles and compacts. Old insulation can lose 30-50% of its original R-value.
Renovation or air sealing
You can not properly air seal an attic with old insulation sitting on top of the gaps. Remove it, seal everything, then install fresh.

How we remove and replace your insulation
Inspect and document.
We photograph the attic, identify contamination or damage, check for mold, and document everything. The scope lists exactly what is coming out and what is going in.
Set up containment.
Drop cloths, sealed pathways, HEPA filtration if needed. We protect your living space from dust and debris during removal.
Vacuum out old insulation.
Industrial insulation vacuum. Everything goes into bags and out of the house. We remove it down to bare wood, including around pipes, wires, and tight spots.
Air seal, install fresh insulation.
Once the attic is bare, we seal every gap, install baffles, and lay fresh fiberglass batt insulation. The attic gets a complete reset.
Full cost in writing before we start.
