01 The Problem

A raccoon colony had been using the raised crawl space as a latrine since shortly after construction. Six years of accumulated waste - over 100 pounds - was packed into one corner. The plastic vapor barrier had hidden it from casual inspection.
03 The Solution
Full hazmat cleanup of the crawl space, replacement of the vapor barrier, installation of heavy-gauge steel mesh on all access points, and addition of a motion-activated sprinkler system for the foundation perimeter.
The Result
The extensive cleanup could have been avoided entirely with proper screening at construction. Their contractor now includes wildlife exclusion in all raised foundation builds.
